Hello and Merry Christmas!

This week was good. Last week too! Christmas is very different than back home but it was so awesome. I loved talking to my family that night online and spending time with the sisters. Christmas Eve though was one of the best days on mission because Alice got baptized! I loved seeing her so excited and I’ve never seen her smile so big as when she got out of the water. I’m so happy for her and excited to see how her testimony grows. After was our ward Christmas party! Everyone was dancing and as we watched them play musical chairs it hit me how much I love these people. They are so fun. I am definitely where I am supposed to be.

We got to go Christmas caroling with Sister Lewis (the senior couple) and visited the recent converts. They loved our singing haha and it was so fun to see all their neighbors come out when we started to singing the Christmas songs. All of us even wore traditional chitenge. The women here wear these pieces of fabric called chitenge around their waists as skirts. So we all got some for Christmas and wore them! I think we look pretty good!

So this week I hit 3 months on mission and wow it went by fast! There have been some hard times and some good times. One hard time was just this week when we got a text from one of our investigators that we had been trying to meet with that she doesn’t want us to call her or try to find her or talk to her ever again and that she doesn’t believe anything we taught her. Ouch it hurt. I understand though if she doesn’t agree it’s her choice but it just makes me sad because she told us when we taught her the message was true but now she was probably discouraged by her family to meet with us again. So yeah there are hard times on mission but then you look at the people who choose to learn and want to change and who do change because of the gospel, that makes me truly happy. The church is so true everyone, and God knows all of his children even the ones here in wonderful Zambia.

Hope everyone has a great week!

with lots and lots of love
Sister Moulton
